The Site Reliability Engineer/Senior Engineer is responsible for quality stewardship of key online and backend systems in terms of availability and performance of the application as well its supporting infrastructure. Responsibilities (including but not limited to): – Contribution to design reviews & planning sessions for new application & infrastructure releases. – Participate in performance test planning & execution for new releases. – Lead problem solving and troubleshooting for functional environments and related applications. – Resolve production issues quickly & effectively while also taking responsibility for any longer term follow-through’s associated with the incident. – Escalate issues to and work with Developers, Systems Administrators, and Application owners to provide root cause analysis for systems issues. – Make decisions or recommendations and resolutions in critical situations.
